I bought the 16" thick version for my compound bow, and this high density foam stops my arrows cold. I've shot on "Block" foam targets with this bow as well as the full wall sized Delta McKenzie compressed foam layer targets at my local range, and this target stops things every bit as well as it's more expensive counterparts. The 30"x30" size is convenient for home range use as it's large enough to do distances without worrying about sending an arrow off target with the infrequent, but inevitable, "flyer". It's certainly heavy, but not an unmanageable weight for one person. Overall, you can't beat this target for the price. It's every bit as good as the targets you see in archery pro shops and at the big retailers like Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas. I could buy 4 of these and stack them into a 60" by 60" mega-wall for the price (or less) than I was able to find comparable 48" "wall" targets, and it's a much more reasonable face size than the other commercially available foam targets that seem to range from 16" to the low 20" on a side faces. If you're building a home range, particularly one where you're going to be doing some long shots, you absolutely cannot beat this target
